David Lowrey

David Lowrey was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1945. He studied for five years with R.H. Ives Gammell. Prior to Gammell, he studied at the Vesper George School of Art, Boston; at the Cape Cod School of Art; and with Robert Douglas Hunter. Awards include the E.T. Greenshields Memorial Foundation Grants, Montreal, Canada, 1975, 1976; the Silver Medal, Lowell Historic Commission, Mass., 1979; Grumbacher Gold Medal Award, 1987 at the Guild and the Edmund C. Tarbell Award in 2000 at the Guild.
